New Kinect Game Teaches Self Defense

I still have yet to get myself a Kinect, I'm just waiting for more titles to become available for it before I go out and purchase one. Next month a new training game is coming out for the Xbox 360 Kinect called Self-Defense Training Camp. Yes, Ubisoft is capitalizing on the idea that people want to learn out to defend themselves, and why the hell not? Kinect is a great tool to use to help teach people self defence without having to leave the house or spend a monthly fee to learn it.

Here's some more information of the game:

Self-Defense Training Camp combines fitness workouts and self-defense drills into four primary categories critical to successful self-protection: technique, stamina, composure and reflexes. Kinect’s innovative tracking technology provides players with immediate feedback on their movements, helping to make the basics of self-defense easy regardless of the player’s skill level. These self-defense techniques are taught by an experienced, real-life self-defense coach.

Players will get in shape as they learn new skills with fitness routines inspired by both kickboxing and martial arts. They will also improve their reflexes with a collection of fun mini-games. To help players sharpen their minds as well as their bodies, Self-Defense Training Camp also incorporates meditative forms of exercise helping users learn how to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.

So basically the Self-Defense Training Camp will build up your confidence to kick ass when your life is threatened. This could be cool. The game is set to be released on November 8th. Watch the trailer that was released for the game.
