Next Xbox system is being called PROJECT DURANGO

News broke last week about the Xbox 360's successor having the control scheme of something between an iPad and the Playstation Vita. It would have an HD touchscreen that would be surrounced by the traditional Xbox 360 buttons, which actually reminds me of some concept photoshopped images of the Wii U when was known as Project Cafe.

But speaking of projects, Kotaku has heard from multiple sources that the next Xbox iteration by Micorosft will actually be called "Project Durango." 

There's not a whole lot besides that that's the name being thrown around for what the system will be called until it's officially given its launch name, but it does remind me of Durango Doug. Y'know, Doug Funny? So from now one whenever anyone mentions Project Durango I won't be able to shake the image of Doug brushing his teeth with a piece of cactus.
