GUILTY GEAR XX: ACCENT CORE PLUS is Coming to XBLA and PSN with Online Play

With the resurgance of the fighting game genre and its fanbase peaking with games stronger, and debatebly, better than ever, it's high time for publishers to take a look back in their catalogs and see which games would be best suited for a re-release on a newer platform.

Ark Systems Works has decided to do just that and take their popular Guilty Gear series, and more specifically the last of its iterations, Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus the XBLA and PSN treatment, only this time with an added online play feature.

I've always been a fan of fighting games but I never was one to get into the finer mechanics of cancels, combos, and all that O-T-G lingo. But the one game that did peak interest more than any other since the original release of Street Fighter 2 was Guilty Gear. And my only wish is that now that Ark System Works has the rights to the series again, they desperately need to develop a whole new entry (something like Guilty Gear 3 would be nice) instead of fine-tuning the same game over and over again.

No word on release date time frame or even pricing, so you'll just have to keep your ears perked.
