CODE OF PRINCESS is a Japanese 3DS Beat'em Up with Style - Trailer

Okay, so maybe Code of Princess is just like every other beat'em up out there but that's not saying much considering that genre has gone the way of the dinosaurs -- even though games like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Castle Crashers have tried reviving it with limited success on XBLA and PSN.

Developed by Agastuma Entertainment, whose last couple of games have been small time affairs on the original DS, Wii, and even Gameboy Color, their next title hopes to bring back a little of that old school charm we all used to remember from the arcade days. But if the following gameplay clips do anything they absolutely get us excited with some looks at what can be done through Co-Op play and even Competition mode.

Here's hoping we get a localized version sent to us across the Pacific. But one key thing I noticed while scrounging around for info is that the game's official site is mostly English, which by most accounts means that they're eyeing international appeal.

Code of Princess is due for Japanese release on 3DS on April 19th of this year.
