New DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Trailer Gets Physical with Hitomi and Ayane

In this latest trailer for Team Ninja's, Dead of Alive 5, things get a bit physical between Ayane and Hitomi. Not in the "Olivia Newton John" way, but more in the "two chicks beating each other's faces in" way. Seriously though, this footage showcases not only the character models and how they react to getting hit, but it also shows how the environment interacts with the fights.

Dead of Alive is a series that has been known for playing with the environment. I remember playing the 3rd entry on the Xbox and being amazed when you could knock opponents off a building's roof and onto the street level. That was innovative for the time, so let's hope they continue to improve on the game-model. From the looks of the trailer though, it seems that they are taking the physics to a grander level.

The real question is, will there be a vollyball option?
