RATCHET AND CLANK HD COLLECTION Hitting PS3 This Fall in US, Spring In Europe

It has been awhile since the release of the first Ratchet and Clank game on the PS2. In fact, it has been ten years since the inception of the unique platformer. Like most older games from that time period, the first three games of the series are going to be coming to your PS3 in high definition.

Idol Minds is working with Insomniac Games (the original developer) to bring you the best, remastered versions of Ratchet and Clank, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal. The new versions of the game will be set at 1080p (720p stereoscopic for 3D) and will each have their own set of trophies (Three platinum trophies, baby!).

Do you remember the multiplayer from Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal? Well, the team is happy to report that the mutilplayer will now be supported on your PS3! You will be able to go old-school on your friends in a new-school way.

The collection is being released in Europe in the Spring, a full season before the Fall release for the States. This might seem annoying or unfair, but the team is saying that there will be something special planned for the US release. I guess we can forgive them!

I am pretty excited about this release. It seems that Idol Minds is trying to bring us the best remasters of these games, and  it seems that they are putting thought into it, not just doing a port-job.

So, get ready to collect some more nuts and bolts while upgrading your insane weaponry.

How do you guys feel about the HD collection of Ratchet and Clank?
