WORLD OF WARCRAFT - Blizzard Still Hopes to Bring the MMO to Mobile

Blizzard still has even bigger plans for their hit MMO, World of Warcraft. Could a possibly iPhone/Android version of World of Warcraft be on the horizon?

John Lagrave, World of Warcraft Senior Producer, recent spoke about how the company is looking to possibly break into the mobile scene more.

"Maybe we'll stumble on the great way to put WOW on the phone, maybe we won't," he said, "but we're certainly looking into it."

"We won't do it until we think it's decent," Lagrave added. "The world is evolving towards that little handheld device. I'd have fun on it, that's absolutely the case. It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that and...we don't think we're foolish! We just haven't solved it. What we've done with WOW on mobile devices is very simplistic: view the armory, you check your auctions; not just on mobile but also on web. When we have an epiphany, everyone will know, but for now, no epiphany!"

World of Warcraft in the mobile space has been one of the biggest rumors floating around the past couple of years. But it makes sense that the developer would rather wait until they have the product properly made, rather than rushing something out to everyone.

Plus with Star Wars: The Old Republic chomping at its ankles, they may want to put a full team behind this mobile area so that people still care about WOW in the upcoming years.

Would you play WOW on your iPhone/Android, or should it stay on the PC?
