STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN Will Offer Cross Platform Multiplayer For PS3 And Vita
The Playstation Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken may still be half a year a way, with only a vague "Fall" TBD date being pinned to the handheld project, but it keeps on getting more and more content swung its way.
Revealed yesterday during Capcom's annual event, Captivate, this year hosted in Rome, the Vita and PS3 versions of game will share an online matchmaking systeming, allowing PS3 and Vita players to challenge each other on online matches. The news doesn't end there either as owners of both the Vita and PS3 versions will be able to the "Vita exclusive" characters on their PS3 game, even to be used against those online.
The list of Vita exclusive characters
Street Fighter: Sakura, Blanka, Guy, Cody, Elena, and Dudley.
Tekken: Lars, Alisa, Bryan, Jack-X, Christie, and Lei
It's been mentioned that the Vita exclusives will indeed be coming their way to Xbox, PS3, and PC as paid DLC whether or not you own the Vita version. When this is happening hasn't been devulged yet.
