CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS 2 Could Take Place in the Near Future
Yesterday, we reported news that Activision was planning to announce the next Call of Duty game during the TNT coverage of the NBA Playoffs on May 1st. They also revealed a very unclear image (seen above) that most were speculating to be a UAV or other drone type of device. Well they were right!
When you check the Call of Duty website again, that same image now links over to a video of YouTube star, FPSRussia, giving a demonstration of the device. Now before you get super excited, just know that this footage is definitely fake. But hey, so is the video game so it all works.
You should also pay attention to some of the things FPSRussia is saying:
Technology in this baby isn't going to be out there for at least another decade.
This is truly a weapon of the future.
If you can't wait 10-15 years my sources tell me that this beauty might be in the next Call of Duty Game.
So he keeps talking about the future, meanwhile the last Black Ops game took place in the past. How will this new game connect to it? Will the events of the past play a big role in this upcoming game?
You may be thinking how are we sure that this is in fact a Black Ops game. Like I revealed yesterday, if you take a look at the source code of the Call of Duty website it has this little tidbit of information in its meta tags:
2012 Activision Publishing, Inc. Activision and Call of Duty are registered trademarks and Black Ops is a trademark of Activision Publishing, Inc. All other trademarks and trade names are the properties of their respective owners.
So it's pretty safe to say that the next game will in fact be Black Ops 2.
How do you think the events of the last game will affect the future Black Ops?
