DJMAX TECHNIKA Coming to North America, PS VITA This Summer

If you're into music games and love them with a flair that only the East can provide then DJMax Technika is the series you've been waiting for. And wouldn't you know it, Neowiz Games is porting the Pentavision developed game for American players to enjoy on their shiny Playstation Vita's later this summer. The official shipping title will be DJMax Technika Tune and will include a currently undisclosed new feature that utitlizes the Vita's rear touch panel for a new way to play.

I first got my hands, literally, on DJ Max Technika at the legendary, now defunct, Arcade Infinity (in Southern California) a few years ago and couldn't help but think it would introduce the next wave of DDR wanna-be's. Rather than using your feet to dance to choreographed steps, DJMax Technika was all about a touch screen and your hands. Made up of two screens, the top monitor is for everyone around you to watch your progress, and the lower screen is where you match your finger taps, presses, and holds to the rhythm of music. It's actually a fun experience, though one that takes some time getting used to.

Are you looking to a new music game being added into the already saturated genre? Or is DJMax Technika just different enough to get you excited?
