TIMESPLITTERS 4: Not in Development, Says Crytek

Rumors started last year about the development of a new Timesplitters when Playstation Magazine reported that a new game in the series was coming soon. Of course, many already thought that a new game had been in development for years, but Playstation Magazine gave credibility to those notions. 

Recently, Crytek dismissed all rumors and said that they are indeed, not working on a Timesplitters game at the moment. They joked about how they only have seven monkeys on staff who can't even write code.

I was kind of bummed on hearing this because I really enjoyed the Timesplitters series. I guess I liked the variety in each game as you traveled from different time eras. Plus, it was a smooth-ass game that ran at a high frame rate (at the time) and the local multiplayer was enjoyable.

The concept art I posted above really makes me wish there was another game in development.

Is Timesplitters a series that you would want to see again?
