PLAYSTATION 4 to Be Released Before the Next XBOX
Yesterday, we released some information about the the next XBox, codenamed Project Durango. A bunch of features ranging from blu-ray support to multiple GPUs, and even a expected release of the Holiday 2013 season was revealed.
Well now, it seems there are more reports that Sony is aiming to have their PlayStation 4 system, codenamed Orbis, out before the next XBox. Yup that's right, the console competition is about to be set on fire again.
Gaming site VG 24/7 has trusted sources that are saying that Sony is more than confident that they will beat Microsoft to the market with this next system. You have to remember, the XBox 360 was out for just about a year even before the PS3 hit the market. So it makes sense that they want the jump this time around.
Just like with the Project Durango specs released yesterday, multiple publishers have already been made aware of the PS4's specification and expected release date. Also it has been revealed that these publishers will be meeting with Sony at special console briefing events later this year.
Don't forget that last we released a bunch of specifications for the PS4. But the good thing to remember about both of these latest rumors for the XBox and PS4, is that more than likely only 50-75% of it will actually come true. So only time will tell.
Even though both companies have said that they will not release any new systems at this year's E3, one could only hope that they at least give us some little tidbits about the upcoming systems. I'd even take a small tease from the companies at this point. Just so that we don't only have to go off of these rumors and had something confirmed from he company. Wishful thinking, right?
What would you like to see in the next PlayStation?
