Confirmed: Valve Will Make No New Announcements at E3 2012

As if you expected to hear anything different...

Valve's Director of Marketing, Doug Lombardi, confirmed with Joystiq yesterday, saying that the studio will not be showing anything new that hasn't already been known prior to this year's E3:

"We have no product announcements planned for this year's show."

Yeah, nothing new here. Heck, even Gabe Newell told us as much when he replied to an email from user  tabernumse of ValveTime forums:

"We are not announcing anything at E3. Really. We are not announcing Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. We are going to be showing stuff everyone already knows about (CS:Go, Dota 2, 10' UI, ...)"

Clear as crystal, no beating around the bush, Newell and Lombardi are laying down the law against all rumors and speculation that might point to new sequel to Valve's biggest franchises coming at this year's E3.

Place your bets, ladies and gentleman. When do YOU think Half-Life 3 will be announced?
