VALVE Teams Up with ADULT SWIM for...?

This came up about a week ago and may be old news to some of you, but Adult Swim released a teaser for something that involves their partnership with developer, Valve. To be more specific, the teaser hints at something that deals with the Team Fortress 2 universe. As of right now, we can only speculate as to what is going down, and that's what I'll be doing.

I am going to assume two things from this partnership. The first and maybe least likely option would be the creation of a Team Fortress T.V. show. They could play a lot with the idea where the characters keep dying and they exist in a reality where war is always happening. I envision it like a Red vs. Blue kind of program. There have been many videos and things made with that particular animation that it does not seem improbable. It would just be the least likely choice over something like making a game together.

Adult Swim has recently (well, relatively recently) gotten into the iOS market. Robot Unicorn Attack is one game worth noting, but I think Adult Swim wants to reach a broader market. This is not a station that caters to mass media, in fact, as many of you know, this station prides itself on being different and being the best late night entertainment for stoners. So, if they take a license that is well known and beloved by the gamer crowd, they could improve that market reach. I would not see this as Adult Swim "selling out," as big as games are, it is still for a particular demographic.

Even if it is not an iOS game, it could be some PC game they are working on. I also would not be surprised if there was cross-promotion in the original Team Fortress 2. Ever since they went Free-to-Play, that place has gotten weirder. There are also outfits that your characters can wear that are not related to the game, so, maybe you'll see an Adult Swim hat in there.

What do you think this partnership means?
