Rumor: Next ARKHAM ASYLUM Game Will Be a Prequel
If you are like me, then you have been waiting for news of what will be the next Batman game from Rocksteady Games. Arkham Asylum and the most recent game, Arkham City, have been said by many to be the best superhero-based games ever made. Well we may have a little tidbit of news thanks to Kotaku.
They are reporting that the next game will be a prequel to Arkham Asylum, showing Batman's first encounter with the Joker. Very much like The Dark Knight, eh? Well probably not exactly like that. It's also said to be based on the Silver Age of DC's comicbooks, when the Bat teamed up with other heroes like Superman and created the Justice League of America.
So could we possibly see other big name heroes in this game? Perhaps the whole Justice League? One could only hope. It would be very smart of both Rocksteady and for DC to allow this. Only because many people were hoping that Rocksteady would take on another hero franchise since they have done such a great job with the Arkham franchise.
I think we can all agree, Superman has not had a good game lately... if at all. If Rocksteady could take this on and bring the whole team together, possibly letting you play as those other characters either in the main game or DLC, it would please many fans.
Either way, it seems we will have to wait until 2014 at the very earliest. As of now WB is primarily focused on Injustice which was unveiled at this years E3.
What other hero or villian do you want to see Batman encounter in the next game?
