Kick-Ass SLEEPING DOGS Live Action Fight Film Hits Hard

This time next week we'll see the release of the long awaited Sleeping Dogs by Square Enix. If any of you are hungry for some kung fu action in the meantime, then feast your eyes on this kick-ass live action video based on the game by YouTube content provider Clinton Jones!

The 8 minute short film contains a ton of awesomely choreographed fight scenes and set-pieces with help from stunt team EMC monkeys. I have to say, there's some great cinematography here! Looks very professional. Lots of prop use and a gruesome end pays homage to the environment interaction the combat offers in the game. Viewer discretion is advised.

Sleeping Dogs synopsis:

You play the role of Wei Shen, an undercover cop trying to take down the Triads from the inside out. You'll have to prove yourself worthy as you fight your way up the organization, taking part in brutal criminal activities without blowing your cover. Torn between your loyalty to the badge and a criminal code of honor, you will risk everything as the lines between truth, loyalty and justice become permanently blurred.

With a positive reception from preview builds and demonstrations, this is definitely a game that should be on your radar when reviews start hitting soon. Are you planning on checking it out?

Sleeping Dogs will be available August 14 in North America on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Most of Europe: August 17. Australia: 16th. Japan will see a release later next month.
